JT Hall - Blackbird Studios

After taking a short break for Christmas, we are halfway through our tenth day in Nashville, recording our album at Blackbird studios. We have completed 9 songs so far, and have cut all 5 band members parts live together. We plan on overdubbing a few things, but that is it for the most part…besides vocals of course! This experience has been incredible for us! The record is being engineered and produced by Joe Chicarelli, who has produced and recorded many artists including The Shins, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and recently our good buds Manchester Orchestra (who have left some remnants of their recording process here @ blackbird for us to all laugh over). We cannot wait for everyone to experience what we have had a chance to. We wish everyone a happy and safe new year, and will be returning to the stage on January 23rd @ Centerstage in Atlanta, with The Marshall Tucker Band. Come check it out if you like! Until then, we will be putting the finishing touches on these 11 songs, picking our favorite album art and title, and getting lots of rest after this exhausting but rewarding process.
